Riverside Square Shopping Centre is envisioned as a vibrant retail hub in Diepsloot, characterized by its fusion of Italian sophistication with contemporary South African flair. Inspired by the Gardenia Ceramiche and Range Origini collections, this architectural project aimed to create a harmonious dialogue between styling and personality, seamlessly integrating with the surrounding natural landscape. The design concept for Riverside Square Shopping Centre was centred around the idea of merging affinities—blending natural materials with contemporary visions to create warm, inviting, and sociable spaces that celebrate everyday pleasures. The architecture of Riverside Square reflects a synthesis of natural alchemies and sophisticated design, characterized by striking yet simple geometries that emphasizes the interiors. Embracing the beauty of nature, the architecture predominantly utilized natural materials such as wood, stone, and ceramic tiles from the Gardenia Ceramiche collection, to enhance the connection between the built environment and the surrounding landscape.
