Clients brief: The clients were looking to refresh an existing mall which experiences high volumes of foot traffic, the brief was elegance, modern and tactile.
A cooler pallet of colours were introduced to the floor areas, whilst walls complemented this with a warmer hues.
The Mall’s demising Columns were cladded with an elegant polished marble look large format Porcelain tile being 1200x2400x6mm in size; recessed lights were included into the panels. The use of polished aluminium strips added to the polished finished of these areas.
A Wood look patterned porcelain tiles being 300x900in size was introduced onto key walls to introduce a textured warmth to the pause areas en-route to the public bathrooms.
The bathrooms used a light pearl coloured porcelain tile in a 600x1200 module with a satin finish, this complimented the feature tiles which were a mocha marble look that carried through from the passage colours.
The floors tiles used a Ceppo look porcelain tile b1a in a rectified 600x600 module from Casalgrande factory Italy, in a grey and nero pallet which provided a textured modern stone look but were easy to clean and maintain.
