Diepsloot Mall is an existing shopping centre that the clients elected to extend; the project was completed over three phases.
The architects, LPA, completed various renders for the Capitaland group to attain the look and feel the professional team felt met the community's needs.
The palette was changed to a fresh black and white colour scheme with shades of grey. Public bathrooms, along with the main mall floor area, were refurbished and updated.
Porcelain tiles with exceptional technical characteristics (B1a rating) were selected for floor areas in a large format of 600x600 model. The look and feel of the floor areas had a soft movement where every tile is different. These tiles are extremely hard and suited to the environment's foot traffic whilst remaining easy to clean and maintain.
Remake supplied all the technical information for the project, from the recommended installation regime, technical data sheets of the products, to the recommended cleaning and maintenance regime.
