Mompati Shopping Centre is a new shopping centre developed by the Twin City group in the picturesque Vryburg in the Northwest province. The centre has been named after the late struggle icon Dr Ruth Mompati. The project was designed by Design Retail Architects in association with the clients Twin City, who were wanting to push the boundaries and deliver a project that was innovative but also reflected the culture and traditions of the region.

Local artists along with local craftsmen's work was researched to be included in the concept of the mall, the colours and texture of the area were included in the design to make the mall inviting to all.

The floor finish that was selected was a B1a porcelain in a 600x600 format Ceppo look, a new cleaner floor tile layout design was selected where the pause and intersection floor areas have a more intricate detail. Walkberg tiles were selected by the clients and architects with a shell-like shape in warm burnt colours; these were used on feature walls to bring in texture and colour.

Colour and artwork were selected to bring in texture and an element of fun, which has resulted in a tactile environment.

Congratulations to the professional team.
